Technical Solutions Engineer

We are looking for a full-time Technical Solutions Engineer to join our friendly, skilled team. TruCode creates desktop, web, and SaaS applications for the healthcare industry.

This is a newly created position in our fully remote company.  This position is 100% telecommute, however candidates must reside in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you’re primarily responsible for directly solving technical problems, both externally for customers and internally for TruCode staff. When not engaged in direct problem resolution, you will work on long-term projects aimed at augmenting TruCode’s technical infrastructure.

While there is help desk work associated with this position, the Technical Solutions Engineer is not strictly a help desk role – we also expect you to work independently on long-term technical projects. In addition to being friendly and customer-service oriented, to succeed in this position you must be excited about new technologies and ready to dive in and use them. Don’t worry if you don’t know every last bit of cutting-edge tech as long as you are willing and able to acquire the necessary knowledge to complete your tasks.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Superb customer service. You will take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution, ensuring that customers are kept up-to-date and happy with their support experience
  • Researching and troubleshooting application problems, remotely accessing workstations to diagnose issues, and talking clients through a series of actions to help maintain, update or resolve application issues
  • Provide internal technical support to TruCode’s staff, including new machine provisioning as well as operating system and application troubleshooting
  • Assist in maintaining and expanding TruCode’s network and corporate IT infrastructure
  • Identify, record, thoroughly document and track support tickets
  • Support TruCode’s application test and release cycles as needed
  • Hours: 9-6 PM ET

What about you?

Experience — 3 plus years of experience providing technical support for Windows and web-based software, ideally in a customer-facing environment. Experience working in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Skills — Technical knowledge of Windows (desktop / server) is a requirement, and of Microsoft SQL Server is a plus. Strong organizational and problem solving skills with great attention to detail. You should have good analytical skills, be self-directed, and willing to seize the initiative to get things done. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills.
